Back when they announced Go I was thinking an automotive version, but ‘capturing’ by way of taking pictures of actual cars, would be the bees knees.

What if you take pictures of cars using the Pokemon Go AR function?

I had the exact same thought. The closest I’ve come to it is submitting my DOTS to VINwiki , which usually returns the VIN, make, model, year, and sometimes trim level based on the license plate.

Lets do it. We could call it ‘EsCARGo’ or something. ‘special cars’ should be weird, rare classics. None of the Amelia 2 million dollar Ferrari’s, but old Peugeots and Citroens found on the street.
You also get bonuspoints for spotting certain cars in certain regions/spots, like Peugeots/Citroens in Paris or VW's on a AAA truck.

Ultra rare when you catch a car with a YouTuber in it.
